Bizarre but true, musical lederhosen
Three new inventions that pinged on the Jeremy Fisher radar are definitely worth mentioning.
The first is your very own digital music player enabled umbrella. Yes, you read that correctly, but there's more. The player can be controlled by the built in gyro-senser, so spin your umbrella to the left to move the track forward, or spin to the right to reverse. http://www.sdesignunit.com/ Be interesting to hear what it would do for Gene Kelly's dance routine in Singing in the Rain.
And if all that spinning leaves you disorientated, just turn to the shoulder of your trusty jacket and it'll tell you where you are. The GPS unit built into the jacket will apparently even work indoors, so if you're really confused, your jacket can help you make your way from the sofa to the fridge...
But my absolute favourite is digitally enhanced lederhosen. A German clothing manufacturers have produced a pair of Bavarian cow-hide breeches with a built in mp3 player AND mobile phone reception. Apparently the on-off, volume, play and shuffle buttons run down the outside seam of the leg.
Brings a whole new meaning to thigh-slapping.
